Google Desktop 5.1 by Google is designed to help users search in their desktops with the same power that the Google web site search engine provides. This application can be used to search text within e-mail messages, files, music, photos, stored chat files, etc., that are stored in your local machine. It helps users organize information automatically to be able to access it easily. Furthermore, Google Desktop 5.1 installs Google gadgets in the sidebar where they can be organized for a better control of custom information, such as Favorites, Notes, Unread mail, and it even provides Time, Weather and Recent News information when connected to the internet.
Google Desktop 5.1 is integrated with Outlook, which makes it is possible to search text within the messages. That also allows notification of incoming mail, and other warning messages.
Users can benefit from the features of this application by taking advantage of its extended capability of searching both local files and in the web. Google Desktop 5.1 can be downloaded fast, and is easily installed. This is a very easy-to-use tool with lots of advantages for advanced and novice users.

I am sorry. It's been a few months since I downloaded this software.
I have not got an idea what use it is of yet though other google
applications are among my favourites. I would be most obliged if you
could kindly provide me with the information on how to use it.
